Oversized Authentic Antique Art Deco Skyscraper Opaline Glass Shade with a custom made Art Deco design shade holder.
We found these stunning Skyscraper Glass Shade in the basement of a amazing Victorian House downtown Toronto.
The owner bought them in Upstate New York years ago while looking for pieces to decorate his second Coffee Shop, unfortunately the project never came to life and he stored them since then.
These shades previously got salvage from a 1920's Drug Store in New York City, their original shade holders and canopies had splits, missing screws and were poorly damaged when we bought them. We decided to create new solid brass shade holders to match the style of the glass shades to perfection.
We have a lot of antique canopies with great patina in stock and decided to match them with the Glass Shade new configuration. If you decided to buy few units, we will make sure to match all the canopies perfectly.
The ceiling fixture has been professionally restored, rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation.
We took a special care in the restoration process by hand waxing all the components to revive the finish and protect these valuable pieces for the years to come.
We are using the museum quality Renaissance micro-crystalline wax on all of our restoration projects.
