A pair of Art Deco Slip Shade wall sconces by Electrolier, 1930's.
The sconces are made of cast iron accompanied by a amber shell slip shade design.
One of the Glass Shade has a very abnormal flaw which to our eyes is very captivating. In the process of making the glass shade, the shade as been molded with a tiny piece of what seems to be paper stuck inside the glass. We have never encountered anything like this before, we believe this little flaw brings a lot of visual value to this pair of sconces. Please refer carefully to the pictures.
It would be a great addition to any Antique, Contemporary, Modern or Mediterranean decor.
The pair of sconces has been professionally restored, rewired and comes with all necessary attachments for modern installation.
We took a special care in the restoration process by hand waxing all the components to revive the finish and protect these valuable pieces for the years to come.
We are using the museum quality Renaissance micro-crystalline wax on all of our restoration projects.
CONDITION
The pair of sconces are in good vintage condition. There is no cracks, breaks or major chips on the glass shades. Note that the glass shades have some small imperfections such as rough edges, marks on the glass and flea bites. Please refer carefully to the pictures.
